![]() This only helps if you're running 2 cabs though (otherwise you still need to do the above amp jumper setting). It features 2 inputs, 2 outputs, and an effects loop you can also turn on/off. ![]() My friend has one that is a floor module, and takes an AC cord. If your amp does have jumpers, then see if there's a way to get this setting with what you have.Īnother way is the ABY box. Then if you want to bridge the amp, set the jumpers/speaker cable accordingly. Then set the jumpers on the amp so that both inputs go to both channel outputs. I didn't quite follow what you were doing.īass 1 -> Preamp 1 -> Chan 1 input of ampīass 2 -> Preamp 2 -> Chan 2 input of amp IDEALLY I want a mini mixer solution that can accept up to 3 1/4" line-level signals 'In' and offer some attenuation/level control and the choice of a 1/4" unbalanced "out" or an XLR balanced out (my power amp likes this signal best).Īnyone here know what I'm talking about? Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for, or who can build this sort of thing? The rig didn't sound nearly as good and there was a little more noise. This is nice because it's smaller and doesn't eat batteries, but I noticed a HUGE tone-suck with this in between the preamps and amps. Using a passive mini-mixer (Rolls, ART, etc.). Also there are no level controls on this solution.ī. This is OK but eats batteries and the ABY box doesn't fit into a 3 space rack in any efficient way. Using an ABY switch to 'sum' preamp a and preamp b into one output. I really want to use my two favorite preamps: a Kern and Read in this configuration, but I can't because of the connectivity issues.Ī. I can live with it but the few times that I've forgetten to do this while playing upright about 6' away from the rig.well, those of you who double get the picture.ģ. In order to switch basses I have to get back to the rack and hit the effects in/out switch on the demeter. ![]() I only get away with this because my EQ settings are often close to flat.Ģ. Running one pre into the effects loop of the other actually means that the EQ controls on one preamp will effect both basses. This works, kinda- but has two main problems ġ. Upright > HBP1 > Peavey DPC1400x (bridged) > Epifani U元10 Jazz bass > BBE Max-t > effects return jack on Demeter HBP1 the sound guy/gal can 'set it and forget it' and not have to twiddle lots of knobs every time I change instruments. I've found that it really helps to have two seperate preamps, one for each instrument, so that the 2 DI signals I send to the PA can each have a separate channel- i.e. I often use two basses at gigs Upright and electric, or fretted and fretless, etc.
